There are nice spots, but for visiting, nothing really exciting. The area where the casino's are, there's nothing else to do but go there (or to a hole in the wall bar). The nicer places (Litchfield County and Greenwich) are vastly over priced, as is the rest of the state. The job market blows, the cost of living is phenomenally expensive, even if you're living in the hood or in some run down apartment complex. CT is hell. Anyone who lives here will agree The roads need to be repaved as there are countless potholes, missing chunks of concrete, unnecessary speed bumps from repairs, drops and raised tufts, our taxes are high, gas prices are high (everywhere is oer $4.00 a gallon for the cheap stuff), and construction on 1 road will last 3 years before completion. Oh, and the weather here blows too. Sorry if I gave you a misunderstanding of CT being nice ;) LOL. I think you're exaggerating slightly. Everything you mentioned is actually relatively good compared to other places. Only things I'm really hating here are the boringness, and the weather. I like life in the east (except for NYC and all)... How can you not like the city? I'd never want to live there (wanted to when I was 17-18, but not anymore), but it's still great to hang out in. I love this place- I really can't imagine living anywhere further north than VA tbh. i agree.. my town is right between the beach and the capitol.. and theres not crap to do but hang out in parking lots till 3 or 4 in the morning weather is way too humid sometimes but you can def tell the difference between winter and summer(i know some places its like one season all year).. the county here keeps the backroads pretty nice so they're fun.. the city part doesnt do the best job but its still not bad.. only bad thing is gas hit $4 but i guess thats better then some places.. and everyone helps eachother out most of the time and the worst/best part is everyone knows everyone and i grew up in vegas.. its safe to say i love livin in sc compared to that place Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No, there's really nothing to do here in this state aside from strip clubs, casino's and the bar. lceah Posted May 25, 2008 Share Posted May 25, 2008 thanks everyone I like hearing all these...it helps me make up my mind lol lol Ben, I've thought of living in FL so many time...no tax, a lot of beaches, partying...scarface was there lol Ashley, I don't like the big city life...too dirty/too trafficy/too noisy/too much crime/too many cops (hehehe) I've been to NC before and, besides getting lost there, it was nice! It was like a giant forest with random houses and places in there... Ryan, the weather issue is everywhere but the "boring" problem is what every single person says about their state but it's all about who you hang out with and what you like to do...I'm never bored (except at work) because I find something to do...and ya, I'm easily amused and too hyper lol...there is always something fun to do if you are up for doing random things or crazy things lol Sarah, Joe, Tubbith, elusive...thanks...you guys are straight out too and it's good for me because I hear the truth about the places and the south, well, I'm not at all used to living in a place like that...my background is so much city and then Cali...
