Posted August 5, 2009 Share Posted August 5, 2009 its an older 302 lol, its out of our F100 Custom truck. i think its from 78 or something like that, ill have to find the title. but i already know about the 5.0 ho's. but i look at it as this, get a set of headers, cylinder heads, new carb, and probably a c4 tranny. a TK500 is way to much for just an everyday build Good pick. SpeedDemon Posted August 5, 2009 Share Posted August 5, 2009 oh yeah lol, they take beatings pretty good. the only think i really need with the engine is new plugs, seals/gaskets, oil change, new carb, valves/valve springs, and probably wouldnt hurt to get some headers while its outta the engine bay... but the most exciting thing on that truck...it has dual air horns!!! ahahahahahahahahaha! i think they are rated at 126 DB lol EDIT------- so ive been browsing to find out what motor is in our truck, and i have come down to three choices lol. its either a 1978 or 1979. the three motors could be of the following: 460 CID 385 V8 1973-79 200-220 hp (150-162 kW) 351 CID 351M V8 1977-79 163 hp (122 kW) 400 CID 400M V8 1977-79 169 hp (126 kW) but one problem, it doesnt have the origional motor!!!!!!! AGH!!! NO! lol im pretty sure its either got a 302 windsor v8 since its got a carburetor in it. the rest of the listings are for fuel injected motors lol. if i could get the sludge scraped off the block i might be able to find the motor stamp if its got one...
