sup
Thanks Hung, now you're making me want to pick a macro lens! Here's my cat Terrible shot, a 50% crop too (taken from the car), but this is Bon Jovi's old house that I saw in Florida Sunset in Florida from the backyard of the house I stayed at
CleanGSR
Thanks Hung, now you're making me want to pick a macro lens! No worries, I'm making myself want to get a macro lens too. This is really a blast but 1... the DOF on reverse Macro is ridiculously thin and 2....I have to be so close to the object that shooting a living insect would be impossible. Luckily my new Sigma will get down to 1:2 by itself in macro mode so I should be able to get some decent macro. When it warms up I'm gonna try throwing the SB-600 on it and 1/500th flash sync outside and see if I can get some cool outdoor macro effects. We'll see how that goes when the time comes. For persepctive....here was my setup for shooting the ladybug (the weed was a similar setup) I don't think I'd want to try that with a living yellowjacket. sup
You ever think about picking up some macro tubes? A pretty cheap and good alternative to splurging on a dedicated lens.
CleanGSR
Yeah, I've thought about extension tubes, but I don't completely understand how they work. I know Kenko makes a set for fairly cheap $150 I think for 3 different tubes. I wonder if I could get an extension tube that would get my Sigma 70-300 from 1:2 to 1:1. Ben.
Your dad bought the f*cking miggity mack. How quiet is it?
sup
Surprisingly quiet. His old 250 sounded like a bat out of hell when you started it up. This one almost sounds like a hybrid in comparison. The coolest thing is the screen for the backup camera is an LCD in the rearview, but it still looks like a normal mirror until you put it in reverse.
