Kegger
Im a big fan of NA so I say go for the Type-R build. and that way youll also has fewer reliablilty issues as well. Plus you can get huge numbers if you build and tune it right.
CleanGSR
For the 5 grand a type r swap will cost you, you could build another turbo'd d to 350whp. Plus if you screw something up, $500 gets you another engine. I thought that was always your selling point for the SOHC.

SolLesHonda
I know Hung, but I want a Type R lol. I love NA, and I need daily reliabilty of about 80 miles daily.

A fully built n/a setup isn't going to have the best reliability for a daily driver. Plus the gas mileage on the highway would probably be worse than a turbo'd D. Do a fully built boosted GSR swap. Tune it at around 18psi and have a 400+whp daily driver.

Attaus
Lol @ the vid. I'm going to vote D-T because I know that the Type-R swap is kinda pointless. If you want originality points, sure, but that's a lot of work for 2xx hp.

It is still n/a, and its almost to the point of being torquey. for a honda.
mountaindewguy
if you go CRVTEC or LSVTEC, go with the GSR head if its N/A, makes power sooner, and dyno proven.
blackdelsol
b16 head flows better, dyno proven. why do you think the type R has a b16 head in stead of a b18 head? accident? I think not.
CleanGSR
No, I never said that my suggestion was reliable. I was just saying that a fully built n/a B18C5 w/ ITB's higher compression and an agressive tune isn't going to be anymore reliable than a built and boosted C1. A mild CR-VTEC build is probably going to be the most reliable for the amount of power you get.
Attaus
and that is reliable? turbo hondas have very little reliability. Myth. They're better than DSM's.. that's for sure.
..SSR..
N/A B18B. Power between both and cheap/reliable.

cranny
SSR kicking in with his VTEC hating crap again , lol. N/A B18B cmon man. whats the point , really. that link , buddy doesnt say wheher its a gen 1 or 2 b16 head. makes a difference as well.
mountaindewguy
doesn't matter, GSR head still makes power sooner. and by the way, a b18b build is a strong build, NA or not. i was going to do it. you should do your research and check out the performance parts available for these engines before you do your"SSR hating crap again"
SolLesHonda
As of right now, it's looking cool for Type R for me. I don't want something popular. I can't remember the last time I saw a Type R motor in a del sol. I might even go K20.
CleanGSR
Go K24. A K24 would be more original than a K20.
