possible new turbo

Recommended Posts

so i been talking to this guy and he has a garrett t-25 with all lines and hoses plus dsm 450cc black tops he told me $100 and its mine. so im going to be buying this and im that much closer to boosting my car im so happy.

list of few parts remaining to boost my car is

1g dsm b.o.v ( the guy who told me he had one for $20 said all the crap on his car was stolen????? w.e )

walbro 255 fuel pump

honda resistor box

chipped e.c.u ( xenocron $175 ) comes with 2 base maps

boost controller

so if anyone has any of the ^ items for cheap hit me up. can someone gimme a list of required parts left out for me to boost my car so i can check off what i already have? im pretty sure I've got a general idea but im not positive. i have a bunch of parts already set off to the side in my garage that ive been obtaining for the past year or so

in all honesty no one here in NE support's crome..or anything but hondata s300...it blows I know, I went down that path myself. Only option is to tow the car to NJ so chris from xenocron can tune it on crome for ya..but at that point it's not worth it..If you check out Turbooption's.com look up a guy named cigrafix. He does most of the local tuning and does a great job. Some other's are DSG(dentsport garage) and wang's, (im forgetting one)

But yea you also need an oil pressure take off adapter or sandwich plate. I prefer a vacuum manifold opposed T'ing off of a vacuum source on the intake manifold. You won't need a boost controller with that turbo, since the stock wastegate will most likely already be just about at it's peak efficiency, Turbo manifold of some sorts. Wideband o2 sensor. Boost gauge and Oil pressure gauges are mandatory in my book.

Charge pipes and a down pipe thats attached to your exhaust. Either a SMIC or FMIC..There's really not that much for parts needed to turbo a car..Just patience and to not over look anything.

Yes, REAL home made turbo, the other one is full of chicken faggots.

Tell us what else you have and what numbers youre going for.

as of now i have an hf manifold, fmic , inline fuel pump ( but i think ima go with walbro intank ), i have a bosch bpv/bov (but i want a 1g dsm bov), probably more but i just cant remember right off im only aiming to hit 180-220whp as ill be running stock internals for the time being

well i was hoping to get just a base map to run off of xenocron till my buddy can street tune it on crome then after street tuning it taking it down to mass with my buddy and having him dyno tune it on crome

Wha? Only hondata support? Thats gay, there is much better stuff out there.

yeah in maine there isnt crap for a tuner scene really i can only think of one place off hand there were two but one went out of buisness or relocated to mass or something but thier not around none the less

are you talking about where ill be going for dynoing? ifso its called northeast dyno and tuning i believe. and the person that will be doing the tuning is a friend of mine hes into rotary engines but he is familliar with crome and is the best person i know at tuning.

the other place i spoke of is called F1 dyno and im not positive but i believe they relocated from maine to mass.

btw cmgogo your a dork lol.... i went over to rhmt and its a bunch of lil porn addicts over there telling me to post nudies of my girl and crap.

yeah i wont have that kinda money for a lil bit. im currently unemployed =(

That sounds like rhmt, just read, if you post make it good. You will need an adapter plate for the hf.

yeah screw rhmt, id rather jerk off with steel wool then associate myself with those people. as for the adapter plate ive read around and seen that i can just bore out the wholes on the mani enough for it to mate up to the turbo. i might buy an adapter plate they are only 50 bucks or so on e-gay.

it all depends, i cant wait to get my taxes back i should have enough for everything to boost my car. as for the dyno tuning N.E.D.T charges $75 for 3-4 passes which seems like a good deal to me.

I would assume he doesnt, and wth is wrong with rhmt? I lurk over there all the time.

Also raley, $500 aint shiat, heres the price list on my turbo build (mind you the only thing i need to buy thats not internal is a ecu, everything else is getting pulled of audiophyles old sol)

Pistons and Rods $500

Vavles springs and retainers $200

arp hardware $80

rings seals gaskets $35

ECU $80

Machine work $380

Cam $120

Injectors $280

Fuel Pump $110

That right there is $1785 and thats before tuning which is going to be close to $300, not to mention oil, filters, coolant, vac line, oil feed lines, etc etc etc. Im figuring I will be dropping 2-2.5k on this build. But that build should net me a reliable 350whp daily :)

Are you scrapping audio's old sol? and I thought your mom or someone in your family bought that lol.

Thats expensive with only a junkyard setup... im guessing you dont weld.

actually i do weld, i only got a mig but im pretty good at welding with it. also im decent at fabbing my own parts.

Cory, for a junkyard setup and alil diy should be under 300

how do you expect a junkyard setup to be 300 or less? when a chipped ecu is 175 off xenocron ? i have lil exp. boosting honda's. i've done enough research to know for the most part how to setup the whole thing. plus i live in maine and not many people boost crap out here. we dont have any pick and pull junkyards out here and everything is over priced. i dont plan on half assssing this setup i would like it to last a year or more.

no not scrapping audios sol, just converting it to NA, with plans of running a JRSC on it in a few years. and junkyard turbo implies 2nd hand parts, you can usualy find a chipped ecu on CL for 75-100.

i never find any chipped ecu's on CL . like i said there is no tuner scene out here if i was to find an ecu it'd be for a vtec and im running NON vtec.

Side mount and injectors 50-75.

T25 75-100

Ecu 75-100

piping, 75 if not built.

That about does it for real price parts....

yeah the turbo is about right including the injectors.$100

i allready have an intercooler need piping. upto $150

the ecu is $175 off xenocron ( look on maines CL theres not sh1t)

also im no expert but im sure theres more to boosting my car then just that. i.e fuel pump, boost controler, gauges, b.o.v, resistor box and exaust/piping. correct me if im wrong

i can fab my own down pipe and exaust piping which will save me some money, probably fab my own manifold to turbo adapter if needed. i completely understand theres a long road ahead of me and i dont plan boosting it till spring/early summer im just working on piecing together the kit now so i have it when the time comes.
