Stock ride height (sits higher than stock with CTR springs) I have dented my oil pan a few times. Changed my driving style when I got the SMSP and it doesn't even have a scratch on it. mycarsux Posted October 6, 2006 Share Posted October 6, 2006 well stainless steel doesn't corrode as the metal itself but the mild ceramic coated steel is protected from corrosion by the ceramic coating. that's why its there. stainless steel is more expensive and harder to manufacture while coating with ceramic is way easier and cheaper.
