That's like saying, you can be the owner of the entire Ferrari company, but you have to give up driving your Honda for a few months. Temporary suspension of freedoms is exactly what leads to fascism. Pballer2005 Posted October 3, 2008 Share Posted October 3, 2008 Temporary suspension of freedoms is exactly what leads to fascism. maybe not take away their freedoms but make it so that it's frowned upon to speak badly about another candidate. like when they do the dabates, just make it so that they aren't allowed to talk about one another. kinda like how they aren't supposed to go over their time limit, it's not illegal, it's just against the rules of the debate, and if they do it anyway, then they only make themselves look bad. I know that you can't take freedom of speech away at all and the last thing I want is for them to start saying it's okay to "bend" the constitution.
