surely you would do it every where in the states, if one place is doing it in the usa, otherwise it would screw time up!

 

There are states that can opt out of changing it because of their location.

Time doesn't change in Arizona. Period.

 

and my phone is my alarm clock..

 

or my woman..she's always f*cking up early for some ungodly reason. and a happy morning person, at that..

 

whereas i .. am not. :p

i thought it was supposed to change at 2am on sunday?

 

 

 

 

Edit: thats what i heard anyway. plus my computer never changed, nor did my cell phone.

The 2am part is right but it is on end of sat beginning of sun.

 

So yeah 2am sunday.

Hawaii is the other state that doesn't observe DST.

 

Lina pretty much hit it on the head...by extending the amount of light in the evenings since the sun vs. the tilt of the earth shifts when the sun goes up or down. Places along the equator don't observe DST since their days/nights are evenly split.

Indiana observes a bastardized version of it. Only half the state observes DST. Something to do with the fact that nothing useful comes out of IN aside from the fact that a large portion of the population is part of the chi-town burbs - the run down crime infested Gary burbs.

I would hate that.

Half the state is hour ahead while the other is a hour behind.

 

yea, but the other half of the year the time is the same between the two sides!

The only good thing to ever come out of Indiana was they hosted the USGP, but now even that doesn't happen anymore.
