2009 Acura NSX

Recommended Posts

"As confirmed earlier, Acura NSX will be powered by a 4.5 Liter V10 front-engine used in Formula 1. Acura decided to use a V10 engine because the old NSX, especially on the US market had too few cylinders. So, a V10 engine will offer bigger output and faster car. That will allow the NSX to compete with others models that are allready sold on the US market, like Porsche 911 Turbo, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo and the new Maserati GT..."

This is from a new preview on the 2009 Acura NSX, from Topspeed, featuring information about design, performance and pricing, as well as a video and photo / wallpaper gallery.

what were they thinking?! is it just me or does it look like an RX8 with a S2000 front???

they just dressed the car up to look like a s2k to throw off spy shots like the one you just saw.ever seen spy shots where the car is all messed up with messed up paint nad stuff.its just done to stop spy shots.now they have taken it to the next level.masking cars so people who try to take a spyshot wont get one. to me i just think they should just put like a big blanket over it so you cant even see the curvs and bodystyle.

WTF? Why is this in the RSX thread? LOL and why was this brought back from the dead? The S2 was a test mule for a V10 on a front-engine, SH-AWD setup. Which was suppose to be the design of the next NSX according to the Acura Advance Sports Concept Car.

Everyone should know the 2009 NSX was suppose to come from that concept that debuted like last year:

With the criticism this thing got during it's debut, Honda has actually went back to the drawing board with the design and may actually have second thoughts about having a front-mounted V10. Either way, we are stuck with the V10 as it has been promised and confirmed time and time again.

Here is the latest release of the "honda" nsx. they admitted to using a s2k body in all the spy shots but had the mid engine v10 in it for testing... 8)

Wow, if they couldn't have taken more features off other cars and made it more noticable...

It was an orgy consisting of a Nissan Skyline, Bugatti Veyron, Chevrolet Corvette, Mazda RX-7, Ferrari 360 Modena, and a Lamborghini Murcielago; then they slapped a Honda emblem on it.

there are only so many ways you can put a vehicle together with elements that are functional and stylish. every single car manufactured looks a little bit like some other car. it is inevitable. looking at a vehicle and stating that it looks like these 6 other cars is a hollow degradation. I think it looks quite nice really. it has a distinctive look and would be noticable by any person on the street.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

But that's true also. It's still distinctive.

isnt that the HSC concept? ive seen that for a few years now

Yup the HSC has been dead for a while. Honda is set and has committed on a front mounted V10, RWD-biased SH-AWD sports coupe. We'll be seeing the new NSX design at the Tokyo Motor Show...

...in fact, Honda has stated it has taken on more Corvette-esque design philosophies...which is kind of dissapointing in itself.
