good cars with "friendly engines"

Recommended Posts

im not trying to be a muscle car homo but any pre 80 chevy with a v8. theres unlimited parts for a chevy 350 and overall really cheap too. As for a honda, the ones built for racing already are expensive. s2000, NSX, expensive. you would jsut have to take a normal honda and work with it unless youve got the money for a real honda. but a cheap car with good power, already built for racing, preferably drag racing, would be any big name chevy pre 80. i would highly prefer you get a very old nissan 240sx, or any japanese rear wheel drive car, because any v8 under 400 cubic inches can be stuffed on one of those cars pretty easily.

Integra GSR, type R, or LSVTEC. Also the b16 on older civic si's are easy to mod. Pretty much almost any honda you can get is easy/cheap to upgrade. Outside of honda you can get a toyota supra. The mark III's are relatively inexpensive or you can opt for a mark IV twin turbo. Either way you goood.

Best cars to look for are the ones that came from the factory with forced induction. OEM supercharged and turbocharged cars already have a lot of the legwork done. Engines are usually built to take the added stress, fuel and oiling systems have increased capacity, ECM's are setup to see boost...overall just much easier to deal with.
