BigBirdSucks
those oil breathers don't do anything at all. have fun at the track though. I'm going to have a dyno/tune day shortly after the 26th and then I'll hit the track when it opens.
mountaindewguy
the air breather is just what you put on if you want to put your filter directly on the throttle body, because normally there is a tube connecting the valve cover to the air intake piping, which in case of putting it directly on that is eliminated. so you still need to filter the air, which is what the crank case is for. doesn't do anything, putting the filter right on the throttle body adds maybe an extra HP or so. sounds better tho IMO
Humphries
air breathers are stupid.
CleanGSR
I have an air breather on my car. Of course it's only because I have too. My short ram intake is the same one I used on my celica (fit's perfect) but didn't have the spot for that tube to go.
EH6TunerDaniel
i had to add mine on there too, the little metal tube was broken off when i got the car, so i went to walmart and got it for like 3 bucks
sonnyjc3
okay i see, so you put the air breather where the silicon straw is that connects the valve cover to the intake piping. but the straw connects connects to the lil thing sticking off the piping so what if air gets sucked into the thing sticking off the piping. CleanGSR
If you have a place on the intake piping for the hose to go, then you don't need the breather for your valve cover. Just use the hose like the stock intake does.

blackdelsol
yea, but it is better to use the available hose and just connect it. the only reason you would need a breather filter is if you are running forced induction so you don't put pressure into your crank case.
