TLontheDL Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Kind of a cool article. I totally agree with the author. http://www.speedsportlife.com/2011/08/31/rearview-mirror-reflections-from-a-once-upon-a-time-honda-enthusiast/
lilnext Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Same here, great find. I also think that the 90's were the best year for Honda, afterwards they started making their cars into, well not stand out of the crowd cars
Xeryon Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 The companies are so big, have so many investors to please and pockets to keep full anymore that there is no place for potential failures in products. The result is industry-wide same-ness of bland cars that will always have a base level of generic appeal. Playing the 'safe' card.
lilnext Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 And that's the problem with big business, "safe" will keep you profitable but without risk the profit will only dwindle
DelSolSweetie Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 i dont agree with industry wide blandness: nissan: 2 dr altima , juke, leaf, 370z, etc toyota: fr-s, scion (even though the new scion is 'aging') I think honda needs to quit with the suv's and cuv's and start having more fun with the designs.. and fire the styling people in LA
