Trade? (again)

Recommended Posts

This time the offer is a 96' Honda Prelude with a H23

for my 92' Honda Civic HB with a B16

My car is salvaged, gutted basically a project car.

I'm wanting a more reliable, steady, daily driver

rather than a project car where I have no money to put into it.

and If I do ever decide to work on a honda. I will probably Frankenstein the engine with a H22 head/H23 block.

The deal is I told the guy that I will sell my car for 1,800 and he accepted that.

and I decided to trade him instead, because he is selling his car for 2,500

So he said trade the cars with $400 on top.

is that worth it?

more info on the lude hows the body whats the miles did you check it out yet? and so the plan is to trade your car and give him 400 for the lude?

No the lude guys going to trade and give him $400 apparently. And I say if its in good running shape and its what you like then good deal for you. I love the interiors of those 4th gen ludes! h23's not horriable for power and since your not looking to build a racecar obviouisly then it should be more than enough for now.

Pics of lude would definitly help along with condition/info.

Its a black 4th gen, with shaved door handles.

but I just seen it when he checked out my car.

I haven't checked his out.

but It does seem the most practical situation for me.

and I think its not salvaged, and the body would seem to be straight.

but once I get the money i'll check it out and see if I like.

my car plus $400 for his car.

well I'll ask him to let it go for $300. but I'll start off with $200.

we are fracked.

777 points according to the 6 o'clock news...

we are fracked.

we've been.

trying to get a job, even part-time, right now is ridiculous.

anyway, if the title is clear, and it runs good, i'd go for it simply to get out from under your salvage title.

Doesn't your civic have a b16? If so, you should be getting mid to upper 30's on your mpg. Due to that reason you might be better off keeping it with our current economy. I don't think the preludes do nearly that well (though the H23 may be different.

Must be alot worse in other area's cause Ohio's job market isn't that bad. IMO try to go work at UPS/fed-ex or other "Grunt work" locations good money, benfits and they're always looking for people. If you can handle some work then you should have no trouble. Local UPS highers new people every other week because of turnover rates. Hard work but if your in that much of a bind its definitely worth it I'm sure.

Also if you sell/trade your car make sure you use the $200+ wisely to keep gas in your car, etc. till you get a job!
