ElBox95CiviCLx
So my wife was driving her 92 Accord, and she said she heard a loud noise, then there was loads of smoke. I'm not in the area, and she had a mechanic friend look at it. He said that there was a hole, about the size of a quarter in the lower-middle-front of the block. This hole is also supposedly leaking oil. I'm trying to get her to get a pic. Any ideas? Thanks loads in advance.

CleanGSR
JB weld the hole. Seriously though, if there's a hole in the block then you're gonna need a new engine.
ElBox95CiviCLx
Dam T.T That's what I was afraid of. How much do most places charge for a swap? And how much do should she pay for a new one? God...so many questions...Sorry guys.
lastresort576
expect around $300-500 for an engine and maybe the same for labor charges...
solinmysol
threw a rod, or broke a piston, or both lol either way.... depending on your engine and labor costs ^ is 100% correct.

James Matteu
i did the same thing in my ford escort years ago. EXACTLY! I'm glad someone else said it besides me! That type of failure sounds strange for a daily driven Honda. If it was a Ford Escort, I would be like, "yeah, sure, that's about par."
cmgogo
did the same thing with my d16 in my hatch once, thats why i built the motor that was in it when it got crushed. But then again i dogged the hell outa that motor for a good 3 years.
