90IntegraC1 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 subs: A amp: A sub wire: B- 6.5's: who makes them? they look cheap 6x9's: who makes them? they look cheap and stupid with that spider thing in the middle on the cover
Verbal Killa Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 ^^ The 6.5 Infinity Kappas. the newest Ones they have out An 6x9. SoundStream xts
90IntegraC1 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 ooo those infinity's are real nice, haven't seen them yet: A+++ soundstream...never heard them, but you made good choices on everything else so i'll give you an A
Verbal Killa Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 ^^YEAAAH. it took me a while too buy everything. and my subbs should hit very HARD. since i have a 1992 civic =P
CleanGSR Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Sound of the subs depends on the box about as much as the sub itself. It would sound a lot better if you could sound match the rears with the fronts by getting Infiniti Kappa's all around.
Verbal Killa Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 ^^So i should get infinity kappas for the back set too then. and the box of the subbs. ima going too have too get custom made box too fix around the trunk in my civic. becuase the 2 boxes i have right now are too big. i had too take out the backseats of my car too fit em in there. an there are HUGE nothing else can fit. not even the rear speakers can fit. so im goin too get a custom made box make around the trunk with Vents in them. so air can pressure out
CleanGSR Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Yeah, if you like rap, then a ported box will be better. Definately go Infiniti Kappa's all around on the mids/highs.
Verbal Killa Posted February 28, 2006 Author Posted February 28, 2006 ^^Do u think it will slow down my car by ALOT?? the system
CleanGSR Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I'd say it will be noticable. On my previous car I could tell a pretty big difference with 2-12" subs/box/amp in there.
Verbal Killa Posted February 28, 2006 Author Posted February 28, 2006 damn. that sux i dont want my car runnin slow. its a stock engine still. im workin on the looks. then final ima top it off with a h22/b16a3/b15c5 engine. one of those probobly. after im done with exterior an interior.
airjordan223 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 thats a pretty nice system set up. and deff. go with the infinitys all the way around, thats what i have, its a really clean sound, the highs are excellent, the bass isnt that great, but thats why you have subs. good luck with the box build
CleanGSR Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 No kidding. I wish I had that kinda cash for my motor right now.
SexyH22 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 do what i do. use money you dont have and worry later.
CleanGSR Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I'm already trying to pay off money I didn't have so don't wanna make it worse. Paying off wife's wisdom teeth and house repair bills (all on the credit card).
Verbal Killa Posted February 28, 2006 Author Posted February 28, 2006 Nah i aint spent alot of money. lol i just turned 16 years old so i dont have much. barely lookin for a job. took me a while to get the money thoe. bought things one by one took me bout 1 month. Inifity Kappas - $140+shippin n handlin SoundStream Xtream - $70 + Shippin n Handlin Kendwood 9152d - $160 + shippin n handlin =O!!! Yess.. very very cheap Two Kicker 15" Vr's - $220 with ported box seperate. i got things very cheap man.. an BRAND NEW. retail price for everything will prob be around 1 grand+.
airjordan223 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 im doing the same thing, i got my sol when i was 15, now im 18 and still slowly adding to it. thats an awesome deal for your system 600 for all that.....real good
SolLesHonda Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Anyone who wants Infinity Kappa or any Infinity Series (Perfects, References, etc.) Let me know. I got both pairs of my Kappa Perfects for 230 shipped. Working at Circuit City has it's perks
sha0linzer0 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 im getting these: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Py3kxdpy9AL/c...+6X9&i=1086927I on ebay for $100 i have the infinity 6.5s in the front $50. infinitys have a real good sound.
dr5tock Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 ^^How much r ur 6x9? screw 6x9's. component sets are the way to go. unless you have a passive crossover for your speakers they will sound like crap and blow in like 6 months. infiniti speakers are OKAY. they aren't great. if you are looking for supreme car audio invest in image dynamics, boston acoustics, jl audio, alpine, mb quart, phoenix gold, and there's more i'm missing but you get the picture. get a component set. rule of thumb to go by is the bigger the crossover/ better looking the crossover the better sounding it will be. you can tell by the quality of what's good and what's not.
CleanGSR Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 The title says "finally finished". I'd like to see some finished install pictures please. I'd like to see what you did with your setup as far as the subs/box goes.
dr5tock Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 drstock forgot Eclipse Components +1 for pics i'm not a real big fan of eclipse. they are overpriced in my opinion.
