Boostinteg
I got this in an email. Im gonna do it and encourage everyone to do the same. Hey it might work it might not, its worth a try. They say gas is gonna hit $3/gal here in Indiana by July. That is waay too much for a gallon of gas. Copy what is below and stick it in an email and forward to as many people as you know. IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES. AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES. THEREFORE, WEDNESDAY, MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR BEHIND " DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT. WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO? REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

BuddySol
Gas is inevitably going to go up. Considering how much the gov't subsidizes our gas, we get it pretty cheap. I think it's about time the Americans pay for their gas. I mean seriously, the petroleum production has hit it's peak 10 years ago. If you strike now, maybe it'll bring prices down for the summer, but it will just shoot right back up a couple months later.
optional187
this is just another one of those fake email chain things...why do people bother with these? i paid $2.17 a gallon for premium...thats the worst so far, but all i can see is it going up to meet with milk, which is $3.19/gallon at my work. TLontheDL
i hate those emails too. the reason for those "forward to your friends" email is so that the original person, who made the email, has a program to where he/she can have a list of all the emails that is sent out to. that person uses the long email list to send spam. optional187
exactly! its just one of those stupid made up chain email things. it might as well have said you have to email that to at least 15 people otherwise you will never get you crush to like you. i'll fill up tomorrow morning, drive around, then top off again for no reason other than to spite stupid people who believe myth's like this. CRG7
exactly right about it not being worth anything. until everyone starts walking as transportation or driving completely electric cars, then everyone will have to buy gasoline sometime just for transportation purposes. so be it one day or one year, it won't matter. optional187
if noboby bought gas for one day, wouldn't twice the people have to buy gas the next anyway?
