Talked to some guys at the redline event who race GTR's. Next year they will have different transmissions. Currently if you own one every third race requires an inspection at the dealership. This costs 1700 dollars. They do drop the trans and replace some parts. The GTR's that don't have this done seem to "clunk" into gear (it sounds like they are doing neutral drops all the time) So if your uncle wants a GTR he should wait untill the next year model comes out with the better transmission.
