optional187
does anybody have any information on a sequential transmission for a civic...or any honda motor for that matter? i was just thinking about it (while reading about volkswagen's seq. six speed for the golf) and it got me thinking. wouldn't it be pretty cool to put a sequential six (or five) speed transmission with the gate shifter like in regular cars, and steering wheel paddles like in the new rx-8...and in many famous race cars like formula one, many of the gt cars, etc. even though it would be damn expensive (quaife sequential six speed for the vw golf is $20,000) it would still be pretty damn cool. and it might win a show for ya, or just make you feel like michael schumacher. or maybe james bond (while playing the james bond theme ) anyways, opinions? VR17
they have it on granturismo but i know there is sequential transmission on those V6 turbopowed honda fomula cars. that would be cool to have it on a civic
Trepid
I've heard of it before, nothing like the F1 cars have but its sequential, the only one I've seen was in a magazine and it looked pretty ghetto, but it worked... oh and I'm moving this to civic btw
..SSR..
Try Holinger. I know Veilside sells a Holinger 6-spped for a GTR R34 Skyline, it runs $16,000, so you better have the blueprint of a bank or something.
VR17
i think the best car with sequential transmission is the V12 quad-turbo bugatti..(the new one)
optional187
nah, this is nothing that i would do to my civic. its not worth the money to me. now, after i get a 3000gt in a few years i may think about it after i do a bunch of other mods. 16-20k for a tranny isn't worth it for a car thats only worth half that... VR17
yea sequential transmission cost alot, the only way to actully feel sequential shifting is by playing some sort of racing game (perfer tokyo extreme racer zero )

S14Silvia
haha yeah i just left it on for like 3 days and played it whenever i had while to waste
optional187
haha yeah, i would do that except i HAVE to watch tv to go to sleep. they should have made a way to save it in the middle of a champoinship without having to forfeit it. and they should have made a way to change your oil in the middle of a champoinship too... S14Silvia
thats my main thing, you should be able to change your oil, my arta nsx cant run more then 3 races before it needs an oil change... of course thats with turbo upgrades
..SSR..
When you're in a series, finish a race, then when the menu comes up, there is a save icon (the one with the memory card on it), thats how you save in the middle of a series.
