mike32526
Any Ideas on how to loosen the 19mm bolt on the crank pulley (1997 Prelude)? I have tried an Impact (@240fl lbs torqe) and broken a few extensions using a "cheater" pipe. I am changing the timing belt and H2O pump. Thansk.... CleanGSR
Get some p buster. I think that's what it's called. P buster, or P breaker....something like that. You can get it at walmart, and unless the bolt is fused, it will help a lot at loosening it up.
AMERICANMUSCLE
go get a breaker bar, wd-40 and a 1" wide piece of steal tube and some one that has some lead in there pencil
cranny
gotta use heat dude its the only way. Get access to a torch and heat the bastard up red , ittl come out. strap wrench on the pulley to keep it from turning helps too if you havent been usin one.And for the record , if you plan on keepin car(should be normal practise anyway) put antiseize on it before reinstalling , makes life in the future easier. ..SSR..
Put car in gear. Have someone stand on the brakes. 1/2" breaker bar with 3' iron pipe. For the extension use an impact extension. Easy.
