dohc1991integra Posted September 5, 2010 Author Posted September 5, 2010 your an idiot Im an idiot? haha why?? I love this car so much and im sure ill regret selling it one day. Its a beastly car. Im getting married in a few weeks (yeah, yeah i know) and id like something a little more practicle. Like something awd with the letters wrx on it :-p But who knows, i might end up with another honda! I just want it to go to a happy home Oh and if anyone is interested, keeping in mind the stock exhaust, this car has one of the loudest v-tec engagements ive ever heard! Its lovely
C92hatchX Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 lol cause its a beautiful car! just go get a mini van and keep this for a sunday driver!
dohc1991integra Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 lol cause its a beautiful car! just go get a mini van and keep this for a sunday driver! BUMP best offers welcome... let me rephrase, reasonable best offers welcome
airjordan223 Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 i bet someone on honda-tech would gob this up in a minute
Xeryon Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 There is absolutely nothing impractical about keeping this car when you get married. I am sorry, but using that excuse is one hell of a cop out and that crap doesn't fly with me. Otherwise, that is a beautiful car. I'm not in the market or I would be all over it.

Please, you just dont get it. Its not like im trading for a mini van or something. The problem with this car is its a beast to drive. I personally love how touchy it is, however the 6 pluck clutch is rediculous to drive and if the wife needs to use my car... i dont want her being miserable driving it. She very capable of driving a 5-speed however this wouldnt be fun for her. Theres no room for error with this clutch. Plus its not the safest thing in the book, but whatever, i just didnt appreciate the comment that im using it as a cop out just because you disagree with the practicality of my car. I dunno, that was just kind of out there. You may think it is practicle - to each there own. No harm done, im sure you werent being a jerk. I appreciate the compliment!
Xeryon Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Meh, I was pretty much trying to be a jerk. That's just how I am I guess. No explicit harm intended. My point was: what difference does getting married have to do with the car? If you already live together then it makes no difference as your living/driving arrangements have not changed. If you live separately and will be moving in together soon then she most likely has her own car and then it still makes no difference. Under these circumstances siting marriage as reason to get rid of the car makes no sense. There must me an alternate reason to sell it and you are using the wedding itself as a scapegoat. An actual on-topic comment: are you listing this for sale locally via Craigslist or something? My guess is for 8k you would need to be fending off the locals with a bat just to get them off your lawn. You could have it sold in under a week.

We arent actually living together right now, and she does own her own car - Xterra, which isnt great on gas and would be nice to just have something we could both drive if needed. Before i bought this car i was looking for a wrx and just didnt wait long enough to find one - found this gsr and snatched it up without thinkin twice! Im aiming towards buying a wrx again. I do have it up for sale locally, had a guy want to look at it today but had to cancel, had a couple trade offers but nothing to make me bite. ...im just giving it some time, worste case i do keep it and enjoy it, maybe im just looking for a change? Who knows...
airjordan223 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Aw youre getting married. Here's a love story for you... Once upon a time, a guy asked a beautiful girl 'Will you marry me?' The girl said, 'NO!' The guy lived happily ever after and drove racecars and went skiing and watched sports on a HD TV with surround sound and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted. The End.
dohc1991integra Posted September 13, 2010 Author Posted September 13, 2010 ok ok, that was hilarious. nice man - nice
airjordan223 Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Truer words have never been written my friend. You can see it playing out already can't you.
Ben. Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I can hear the whips cracking already.. How unfortunate D:
dohc1991integra Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 I can hear the whips cracking already.. How unfortunate D: haha Ok so ive decided im selling this car and buying another project. Probably a DA like my previous 2 or an older civic. Id like to not have a car payment again and be able to put that difference towards building an older car. So maybe the practicality of selling this car was not to have a loan out... yeah thats my new reason BUMP for a price drop... first person who offers $6,800 takes the keys!
airjordan223 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 woah woah woah woah woah woah woah woah, this isnt my batman mug. wait so youre selling this, and then buying an older, smaller version of the same car as a project car?
Stevotron5000 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Hmmm...at first I gave you credit because you're a Coheed fan but this new development is quite troubling! I kinda get the logic behind it but downgrading just so you can have another project seems like a waste. You must be reeeaaally tired and bored of that beautiful car of yours that you spent so much time and money on.

You must be reeeaaally tired and bored of that beautiful car of yours that you spent so much time and money on. Jeez, I love when people make a judgment call without ANY facts on my situation - Its getting pretty old. Im wanting to get rid of a car payment and plus the insurance payment of this car is twice as much as any of you guys pay on your honda due to 1. Idaho rates being insaaaane (im in the insurance biz) 2. its a 2000 gsr, it doesnt treat me well on the wallet. and 3. my age So what if i want to get rid of it. And I didnt dump the thousands of dollars in this car to get it were it is, i basically bought it like this. (Im glad i get cred for being a Coheed fan too (or at least did) I met them back a couple years ago two nights in a row. Very cools guys. Im seeing them next month - looking forward to it)
Stevotron5000 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 ^^^ I was really only going off of the fact that you changed your excuse (not that you NEED an excuse for selling something) for selling the car a couple of times, which led me to believe that you're just bored of the car and want to tinker with something else. I've known plenty of people getting rid of their perfect rides for another project car just to be disappointed. Just trying to help out by showing that you've got a great car on your hands. and if it wasn't for the insane insurance rates on GSRs due to the fact that they're damn near always in the top 10 most stolen lists, I'd be driving one right now, so I know where you're going with that. Actually one year I believe there were three different model years in the top 10, lol. and Coheed is awesome. I met Claudio in Hollywood and his hair is even more epic in person, lol. Not a huge fan of their newer stuff though...
dohc1991integra Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 Well i appreciate that. Im just way to anal about this car. i miss my old DAs when i didnt mind a ding or two! haha And yeah i got Claudios autograph the couple times i met him, they rock and i love all theyre stuff. My favorite band hands down. Pennies killin those drums in the new album! Nothings better than In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth tho!
Stevotron5000 Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I hear you. I know it's blasphemous to say but my favorite car is still my old beat up ford escort zx2. I loved just not giving a damn about the thing. I still think the new albums are great but I was used to the epicness of songs like Light and the Glass and Godsend Conspirator. Their breakdowns were just nuts, I think they steered away from that with their newest, but musically it's still top notch. Hopefully I'll be able to see them in the near future. Back on topic though, GLWS dude, it's worth the price you're asking.
