eggdoor Posted May 2, 2010 Share Posted May 2, 2010 Every time my vtec should kick in it doesnt and i smell something burning. kind of smells like plastic, maybe a seal? anyone else ever have this problem? Or any advice on where to start troubleshooting. Wiring seems fine. previous owner did do kind of a hack job on it though... wiring that is. the engine is a d16z6 btw. DelSolSweetie Posted May 5, 2010 Share Posted May 5, 2010 if you are smelling something burning and it doesnt smell like oil you are probably melting wires somewhere as for the troubleshooting there is a sticky about what to look at and check if vtec is not working after triple checking ALL wiring and what is on the list.. let us know Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
