It's a 1993 Honda civic ex coupe. Stock everything. 1.6l 125hp I4 106 lb-ft torque. <----- yea that needs to change... so for starters I'm thinking about getting intake headers and exhaust. What kind do you recomend? After i get i/h/e i want to turbo my civic ;) What do you recomend for this? I want my car to breath well and well not be a heavy pce of junk! all recomendations for my civic are great.

Example on recomendations: lowering kit, flywheel

All work is done by my family members they will be teaching me how to do this on my own.

I may get an engine swap so cheep recomendations.

Thanks,

Honda driver ;)

You need to research more.

If your planning to turbo dont bother doing I/H/E since youll be replacing those once you boost.

As for a swap, meh, the d16z6 you have LOVES boost, right now in my 93 sol im running a t3 with .62 on the compressor, thing runs like a champ, right now its pushing 12-14lbs reliably (although the motor was just rebuilt, but with stock internals)

First thing I would recomend would be to get a decent suspension on it. As well as some better tires.

The first thing you need to do is make a budget and a want list

aka

I have 5000

so ill spend

xxxx on suspension

xxxx on brakes

xxxx on motor work

xxxx on turbo

xxxx on tuning

I want to run xx.xx in a 1/4 so i need to buy this for xxxx

I want to run x for autocross so i need to buy this for xxxx

once you have your goals and your budget set we might be able to help you from there.

If your serious about boost check out

HMT

rHMT

if you want to see what your z6 can do check out

turboD

d-series

or if you really want to swap check out whats availble at

HMO

or check your local craigslist or the classifieds over at hater tech.

I hope these pictures can help me get more ideas.

I know that the engine bay is a mess but as i get new parts i will be cleaning and upgrading a lot of it so don't hate <3

I know my car is dirty but hell i have no time right now to clean it.

I want suspension were should i get this at?

I have bought new tires with 17" rims.

It has drums in the back.

I also want to get a body kit but nothing to fancy any sugestions?

My goal is to have a clean fast car. I dont know reasonable hp for a civic so anything more then 150 is great (for now):)

My budget for now is 3000...

But i'll have more soon.

With my engine what exactly should i do if i want to turbo?

I don't want top of the line parts as this is my first car.

im not sure if thats all the pics or not, but i went ahead and fixed it for ya. its a good looking car, the dirty ness is easy to take care of. mpearce works wonders with cleaning engine bays,, if i remember correctly there is a thread of how to clean it, just search for it.

as far as body kits go, most here will say no no lol. there are only 2 of us on the forum that have them. i say just get alip kit. get some coilover stuff and lower it(talk to julian about that one, or xeyron). get a rear disc swap from a si model. it does wonders. that would be the first thing on my list.

3000 is a good starting point. that will get you a full coilover kit for just under 1000. the other 2000 can help to pay for performance and rear discs.

the easiest way to get power from any d series engine is boost. hands down. and for 1500 you could build quite a kit and use 500 towards a tune. youll also need new tires and a clutch.

if you dont wnat turbo. swap out for a b series motor. that 3000 would net a good gsr swap minus transmission. which would still be fast.

Due to some B**** I have to get new headlights and a new hood. Carbon fiber was recomended to me by a family friend. (should i get yes or no?) My parents already chose my headlights (halos). Someone also keyed my car pretty bad so my mom might get me a new paint job. (what color car?) I'm not at all willing to paint my car red. I want more performance b4 i become to much of a ricer. So before suspension, disks and lipkit. whats some hp incressing upgrades i can do with turbo in mind.
