truckster225
Hello!! I have 87 Honda Prelude. Today, my radio started cutting out. It would turn on and off on its own. Then, as I was driving, the engine just stopped and when I pulled over, I couldn't get it started again.. The battery is new. All the lights still work if I turn them on. The car is definitely getting power. When I turn the key, nothing happens. It wont even turn over. Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Thanks so much. truckster225
It wont turn over. The starter isn't even cranking. If it was the fuel pump, it would at least turn over, no?
truckster225
So I just got a jump start and it fired right up! I let it run for about 3 minutes, then I turned it off to see if it would re-start. It did not. Does this sound like the alternator to anyone?? 88prelude
when was the last time you had your alternator replaced?
stuntpunk1991
i had the exact same thing happen to me in an accord last week. it turned out to be a bad collection to the positive batter terminal. i replaced the metal piece connecting the wires to the battery and never had another problem.
