OTiS Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 i just bought a new gauge cluster that has the tach in it for my civic. how do i get my current and correct mileage onto my new cluster and wat would i have to do to make the tach work? Xeryon Posted February 28, 2009 Share Posted February 28, 2009 Ignore the previous post. If you have an OEM cluster no rewiring is necessary. Everything will work by default. To retain your mileage just remove your original speedometer assembly and switch it with your new cluster. The speedo portion is exactly identical and will fit right in. Put your leftover parts back together and sell it on eBay to recoup part of your money. it is oem. and after a bit of tinkering i did swap the original speedo. on the back of the new cluster there was a slot for a green connection, was that for cruise control? the new cluster came from an lx and those had the cruise control but mine is a dx.
