94Civic Posted May 28, 2008 Author Share Posted May 28, 2008 well against some people's better judgement i got the MTX Magnums. it cost me $184 for amp, subs, box, and wiring kit. i only had an hour and a half before i had to go to work so i just hooked it up enough to hear it (stereo pulled out and power wire going out my window the battery. it sounded quite amazing and for now im very happy with my purchase. tomorrow i will have it all hooked up and if pictures are requested i will certainly do that. but it will just look like a box in a civic... nothing you guys havent seen on here im sure. 94Civic Posted May 29, 2008 Author Share Posted May 29, 2008 me and my friend (with insignias) had a little comp. i won. out of three judges it was unanimous (the judges being one of my friends. one of his, and his friends girlfriend.) although my subs may have barely beat him i could not have done it without my amazing sounding Type S's and Kenwood door speakers. i competed with him with just those before and it was close ha. with these subs i blew him away and made him want to upgrade his along with making my friend want to purchase subs. the guys at audio express have told me that if i bring paying customers they will get me a deal on some real nice subs. that will be nice when im sick of these but for now im happy with them. and yes, they annoy the crap out of the people next to me. i turn them down out of guilt at long stop lights... I'll let you test drive too. lol I know this is gonna sound funny but also try playing Dido - "Do You Have a Little Time" at around 2:30 the bass is really low and feels phenominal. 94Civic Posted May 29, 2008 Author Share Posted May 29, 2008 is there a list on here anywhere that has been compiled of great bass songs?? o and you think two hours is long? me and my friend have spent weeks on a techno that is an hour long. im not a fan of listening to techno that isnt mine just because of the unexpected changes in beats and synths... some of them arent very clean transitions and what not. thats why i make really long ones then i wait a month and listen to it again. i enjoy making it. yea... im gonna drive all the way to Connecticut to test drive a car lol. i wish i had the money to get one. or he money to get anything better than my 94 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
