mikekrier07 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 my friend 97 hatch with a b18c1 swap... they had to put new rings in it cuz it was using alot of oil.. but now its all running and every thing but the vtec wount kick in now... all the connections are right and stuff but still no vtec... wat could be the problem?
Rick B. Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 check the speed sensor. mine went out on me and my ecu thought that the transmission was in nuetral the entire time while i was driving so it never engaged the vtec, i also got real crapty gas mileage too.
Kegger Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Check your oil. If it's too low it won't engage.
Chubs Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Check the VTEC fluid.. Nah lol but for real you might need a new VTEC solenoid.
Ben. Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Check oil first, like someone said. If all else fails. Check your solenoid, replace it. Hell, it could be any number of things.
mikekrier07 Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 its not the oil... how much are vtec solenoid
Spoonkid Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 its not the oil... how much are vtec solenoid GS-R motor... have fun... List: $ 151.00 Check the spool valve too... the screens can get clogged too... happens all the time on CR-V's
cranny Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 if it worked before it was taken apart , than its prolly an electrical connection. get a couple plugs on wrong spots or somin. you must have an engine light?
