Pballer2005 Posted July 13, 2006 Share Posted July 13, 2006 lol, the oil on those permanant filters is to trap really fine dust particles, i highly recomend you use it after washing it. just go to autozone and get a k&n recharging kit for like $10. follow the directions and you'll be fine. you can use k&n filter cleaning kits on any permanent filter. hell i've even used dishwashing soap and a soft scrub brush, i don't see how it will hurt, its basically cotton woven around a steal mesh.
