90IntegraC1
yoo...ok. lately my front left axel has been making these crazy noises when i turn right. so i get on my belly and take a look. The CV joint or whatever is totally cracked, there is oil all over it (oil leak), and there is dark gray goo everywhere. Not a good situation. I was wondering...do i need to replace the entire axel or just the CV joint? How much does an axel and installation cost? Gray goo? WTF?

Caspers_Civic
you can pick up a cv shaft for around $80. You can actually do the work yourself it isn't that difficult. I think if you were to have a shop do it it would cost around 160 or so. just call around
