2019-2023 Passport/Pilot MOST Cable Recall

Recommended Posts

Stopped by my dealership to discuss what this entailed to replace the cable.   They told me the cable is located behind the dash and will require a full day to replace.  I just purchased my Passport in March and am not really happy about them having to tear into the dash although after they have done a few maybe it won't be a problem and nothing else will be damaged.  If you aren't aware of the recall you can go to the NHTSA.gov web site, enter your VIN and it has an explanation.  Currently this applies to '19-'23 Passports and Pilots.  Has anyone had this done and if so what was your experience?

Called Honda to get this recall done as I needed to take it in anyway as the cruise control no longer works nor does the wireless phone charging.  They still don't have the part to fix the recall!

UPDATE:  Had the recall completed last week.  Happy.  Don't notice anything different and all is well.  It only took just over half of a day.  Wireless phone charging still does not work and "Honda is aware of the problem and are working toward a fix".  Since 2021!!!
