Humphries
Starting off the year right and back into a honda... well, it's a project for now, but should be running in about 2 months by ImportAlliance Atlanta. In this build I'll be doing a D16z6 full engine rebuild, s20 transmission overhaul, wire tucking and re-looming dash and engine harnesses, and tucking headlight harnesses. Installing Energy suspension bushing kit, all new wheel bearings, disc brake conversion, and engine bay repaint. Purchased this car from one of my best friends who bought a vr6 jetta, with hopes to make this his project. He (I) removed the engine and transmission (b16a2) and he tore it apart to rebuild for turbo. It sat for 4 months until he just wanted to part it out and sell the shell to buy wheels and suspension for his jetta. He gave me an awesome deal on the shell (full interior, rolling chassis, megan coilovers) and i couldnt pass it up. I will be over his house working on it this weekend since my driveway is blocked by a giant storage unit due to renovating and will update with pics when something's worth showing. ..SSR..
All your doing with the Supertech springs with stock cams is robbing power. Ditch the ES bushings and Megan coilovers. Bore the block and get new pistons.
James Matteu
Put that stuff in your garage.
Humphries
I am not doing supertech anything anymore. ordered acl bearings, thrust washers, npr rings, and full seal and gasket kit for entire engine, rywire b series harness, and gsr transmission lapped OEM valves, new seals, putting it all back to stock. my garage is full of my motorcycle build and hardwood flooring. I didn't want to lose anything so I put it in my room to organize my workstation.
Humphries
this is all on Honda-tech also... I update it more often
Humphries
got the gsr transmission and pulled the case off and when I removed the shafts, the 3-4 shift fork had excessive play and I believe there is a bushing that may be worn out. I looked on majestic at a b16 transmission trying to see if there was a part number for the little bushing that seems to be the problem but couldn't find anything
James Matteu
They sometimes include bushings in a set if there are several sizes to choose from.
