Small powered subs?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a small powered sub. Something that sounds nice, and doesn't take much space. Don't need groundbreaking bass. Just something to take the stress off my speakers and give my car a nice thump, and not take up all my space in my trunk.

Looking for something along the lines of http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1218009784080

i don't trust it. enclosure looks like its at the absolute minimum for volume, and you can get more for the same price. my friends girlfriend has a duel 8" enclosure (don't know the name or specs on the subs or amp) and it doesn't take up any room. since my friend is a re-occurring customer and brings the guy good business he threw the enclosure in for free. i'd look around a little more and ask someone like cbr4i

yeah i'm hoping he stumbles upon this thread. I'm really not all too interested in the whole box, amp, and subs thing. Would rather get a single small sub like that. My uncle has one in his celica gt-s and it hits great

Personally i would grab up an Image Dynamics 10 or something and just build a small enclosure. . .

Its ridiculous how small of an enclosure these little bastards will perform inside. . and they take no power at all to push. I had one in a .08 cuft enclosure and 250 watts inside my old POS Ford Ranger pick up. It was perfect at the time. . didnt get so loud that everyone around you heard it, but nice, loud, and deep inside the cab.

If you want a powered sub, this is about the best you will do. They dont get real loud, but they sound good, just be easy on the gains and your loud button. . Infinity never did play well with its peak rated power
