  1. If the light is on, there is a chance your airbag wont deploy in the event of a crash. So yeah, it's nothing for him to worry about, but you on the other hand do have something to worry about. Did your mech tell you what code it was throwing?
  2. Lets start off with the definition of a muscle car. A muscle car, by the strictest definition, is an intermediate sized, performance oriented model, powered by a large V8 engine, at an affordable price. Most of these models were based on "regular" production vehicles. These vehicles are generally not considered muscle cars, even when equipped with large V8s. If there was a high performance version available, it gets the credit, and not the vehicle that it was based on. http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars/general/musclecars-definition.shtml Now your question...."who would win?" Win

  4. First, is 8.25% the normal sales tax in NY? If so, it probably isn't the car tax. I live in TN where we have 9.25% sales tax (I know...) But the tax on any vehicle $3200 and up is 7%. Second, I don't see why you and you friend couldn't just go into the dealership together and work it out with the sales manager. Your question is one best directed towards the sales manager of the dealership anyways.
  5. Okay so I'm on a local forum and here is what this guy had to say in response to the same question: "You really should not be asking what is the stiffest...but rather the best. I have no idea what is best for that car as far as spring rates but the Bilstein Shock + Ebay Coilover Sleeve + 2.5" QA1 coil over springs.....it has worked for TOO many people. All the Japanese coil overs are GARBAGE every SINGLE set. Find out what other people are using for spring rates and lengths on that car(you can find this information at www.sccafoums.com), get the above suggested shock and coil over combo an
  6. Because I'm not really serious about it. I took my stock M roadster a couple times and then a stock G35 sedan. There are people out there with stock suspension eg civics. There was even a dodge ram last event! I bought the car for like $600. It's just a little weekend project. Can we get off the "why are you going cheap"? I think I've made it clear.
  7. I have seen used tein superstreet coilovers for $500. Hell, I sold some a wile back for that much (kicking myself now). I'm not going to be using r-compound tires or anything so I don't think I will break stuff. Let me rephrase. What is the stiffest suspension I could maybe find used in the $500 range? I don't need it to ride nice or negotiate bumps well. Just to stay planted through slaloms and such.
  8. I'm building a dedicated autocross civic. Car needs to handle as well as I can get it to. I am planning to completely gut/strip the thing and put as many sway bars as will fit. I'm not looking to be extremely competitive in my class. I just want to build a fun autocrosser. I don't really wanna spend more than around $500ish on suspension. Used is fine. I want to be three-wheeling these courses. Open to all suggestions.
  9. It would take some really serious custom modification. Everything from mounts to drive shaft/axles, etc would have to be custom made. It would probably end up costing more than just buying an earlier model s2000.

Of course it is. Just make sure you have adequate fuel delivery and engine management and for god's sake get a good tune by a reputable shop.
  11. something is defiantly....DEFINITELY not right here. As a matter of fact something is absolutly blasfumous about this. GAAAHHH!!! Frikin volkswagen?? really??
  12. quick pointless update... just installed an hks ssqv bov. Sounds nice. I need a power steering pump.
  13. yeah well it's not much on the realistic side as far as a streetable car goes. That thing wouldn't fully spool on a stock rb25 until maybe 6k rpms. Sure its capable of a bajillion horsepowers but really...that thing is big enough to power a goddamn nuclear submarine. I'm looking for a quick spool time and driftable setup. I have heard good things about a gt2871r .86 with a t3 hot side. I think I'm gonna do it. Here is an exerpt from a pro builder on zilvia.net: "RIP garage R33 that I built used a 2871 t3 flanged turbo with a 38mm tial WG.IT produced 390 whp and 385 ft lb of torque at
  14. t88? holy balls! thats big. I'm most likely going with a gt3076r. Setting it up to 350 rwhp. I don't wanna change internals, so keeping on the safe side.
  15. Pics to come. Weather has been horrible. And it's not an sr. It's a 2.5L 6-cylinder turbo'd beast spawned from the loins of a Nissan Skyline R33......RB25DET.
  16. Scrapped the sr project before it got off the ground. Bought another s14 with an rb25det already in it. Now I'm just turbo shopping. ceramic fins ftl.
  17. It's like 60* outside right now. It's freaky.
