RidnOnNeons Posted September 8, 2008 Share Posted September 8, 2008 Instead of buying another D16Y8 would it be just as good to get a D16Y7 and put the Y8 Vtec head on it? The reason I ask is b/c the Y7 is almost $500 cheaper than a Y8!! If so, would the Y8 head bolt right up with no modification to the motor? Thanks! cmgogo Posted September 8, 2008 Share Posted September 8, 2008 it will bolt, however you need to get the y8's head, intake mani, vtec solinoid, and wire up the solinoid into your ecu. Also if i rember right you need to modify some of the oil squirters a lil. its a saturday job if your mechanicly inclined. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
