CBRF4i
first of all. . you can ditch the JL's and the Eclipses and find some real subs to put in there. . . https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/...ndex.shopscript http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/default.asp http://www.audioque.com/aq/index.htm http://www.reaudio.com/ http://stereointegrity.com/subwoofers.php http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/ http://www.mmatsproaudio.com/ http://www.dcsoundlab.com/level5.html for example. . . do the research and find out why any of those companies i listed > JL or Eclipse then we can start recommending setups and talk amps as far as sound deadener. . dont waste your money on dynamat either. . check out raammat, second skin, and edead http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/ an amp for your mids and highs will be determined by the rms power ratings on your mids. just needs to match. I run CDT euros in my car off a Directed A404

CBRF4i
Why doesnt any of those websites give me prices on the subbs? or are they just hard to get lmao. and cbr i sent u a pm with the specs on my box. wich would be good? you will be hard pressed to find any sites that provide prices. The reason why is because they want you buying their products from their authorized dealers. Some companies wont even let you order directly from them. . . all of the companies i listed will sell directly to you, with the exception of maybe a couple who will send you to a dealer if there is one local to you. Don Pisto
As always, I agree with CBRF4i....except on the Eclipse part...if you got the SW8000 or 8200 or even the Eclipse Ti Pro then I'd add those into the mix. As much as people boast JL and as much as they bash them, they are a great company and the W7 is a great driver, but it's nowhere near the best and it's not amongst the cheapest or most reasonably priced either. Personally, I'd go with the SI Mag or the ID MAX. I haven't heard the Mags, but I know they get loud. I've heard a couple setups with the MAX and they will get loud. Not only that but all these subs actually have sound quality. Remember that the sub is only a small part of the actual system. The amplifier is another small piece and you must make sure you have a good one. What really is important that your electrical system is up to par, otherwise your amp will be working very hard causing a strain on the electrical. Probably the most crucial piece of a system is the enclosure, or box. A good box can make crapty subs sounds decent, but a poor box can make an excellent sub sound crapty. If you go sealed, make sure you have the proper air space. If you go ported, don't tune it too high, and if you tune low, make sure your subwoofer can handle. Lastly, the gain is not a volume knob. Don't turn it up all the way either. If you don't know how to set it up, I highly recommend having someone else do it that knows what they're doing. Not setting the gains properly will blow your sub and then you'll need a new one.

Don Pisto
i typically dont have alot bad to say about eclipse. . i just seen too many of their cones buckle over the years That was an issue with the TC Sounds drivers with aluminum cones. Sadly they glue they used was not all that great and the tinsel leads were way too thin, especially for their TC 5200 aka Eclipse Ti Pro. I'm needing a recone for my 5200 because one of the tinsel leads came off from the spider, even though they were fully woven. I also prefer a paper cone so I'll be going with that, provided I can find a 4" coil :(
