James Nguyen
Ok guys need some help here. I have an auto 97 prelude and was going to put turbo on it but one of my friends told me to do a conversion and make it to a stick. I was wondering how much does it cost. Is stick better for the turbo or can I put turbo on an auto and still run fine????
Tubbith
Im pretty sure it would be eaper to seel your car, and find one that is a 5 speed. You dont need a 5 speed to boost, but speaking from experience, its not a lot of fun riding around in a boosted auto...
James Matteu
..., but speaking from experience, its not a lot of fun riding around in a boosted auto... From my experience, it is more fun to drive a boosted manual vs. a boosted auto. But it is more fun to drive a boosted auto vs. a naturally aspirated auto. chris_agu28
But with a boosted auto he will never have to worry about mis-shifting. Which is nice when the turbo like spikes and jumps the rpms quickly. But yet he will be short a gear but the 4 gears would be longer. I would switch it over but yet I dunno. Depends where you get the parts, Your budget, your time, and etc. Or Sell your prelude auto or a prelude stick. Might be cheaper and time efficent. Hatch92
you can get all the stuff from your friendly neighbor hood salvage yard. OR you can sell/trade it for a 5-speed
