As far as I know, the underdog is given a certain number of points by the other team. This number of points must be met after the final score? I don't get it? wannaBstuntin Posted November 29, 2007 Share Posted November 29, 2007 A spread is how much the favorite has to win by. The patriots had a 22 1/2 point spread over the Eagles. They won by 3.
