compuvision02 Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 ...don't know too much about pistons for these cars, because I've never really looked into it yet. Anyways, I am most likely getting new pistons soon, but I don't know what to get. Bore? Stroke? Rod? C/D? Head CCs? Dome CCs? As I said, I don't know anything about building a Honda block. I know what compression I'd like to run, but I don't really understand the rest for these cars, like what will just drop in. Also, where is a good, cheap place to buy? Thanks.
Ben. Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 I still want to know why using CTR pistons are so bad to use. Do they make TOO much compression or something? I once asked if they would work with LS Rods and crank in an LS-VTEC setup and someone said that it would generate too much compression or some crape.
Ben. Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 And, obviously..the main question at hand here, Rob.. You wanting N/A setup or Bewst?!
Joe W Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 You wanting N/A setup or Bewst?! Thats the $$$ question that we need the answer to.
..SSR.. Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 CP Pistons from me. CTR's are the heaviest B series pistons, and too much dome.
compuvision02 Posted June 1, 2007 Author Posted June 1, 2007 Well, what are your suggestions for 9.0:1? I don't want to have to do anything to my block, but to just get them put in.
compuvision02 Posted June 2, 2007 Author Posted June 2, 2007 Oh okay, well then suggestons on what to go with?
Ben. Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Well what? CP Pistons from him. Look on H-T for CP piston feedback. They're good, quality shizz. Or are you referring to something along the lines of boring and sleeving and all that crape?
compuvision02 Posted June 4, 2007 Author Posted June 4, 2007 I'm asking which ones he recommends. There are different "sizes" of 9.0:1 CP pistons, I believe. I want to find whatever is just going to go in.
