GSR4Door13
OK, im getting an exhaust system made soon, and im trying to decide what size piping i should use. Im not sure if i want to use 2.25" piping or 2.5" piping. The canister im using has a 2.5" inlet diameter. i dont mind using 2.25" piping, but i plan on turbo charging the it in the future, and i dont want to get exhaust made again once i need a larger diameter kit. what i need to know is if the 2.5" piping will have to much backpresure or if it will be fine. CleanGSR
If you turbo, you'll want a 3" exhaust, but a 3" exhaust would suck on a basically stock GSR. So either way you'll want to redo the exhaust once you turbo. 2.25" would be best for your current setup.
xxscaxx
+1 to what hung said. you could probably get away with 2.5 on a turbo setup (depending on mods) but 3" is better. if you are planning on turboing soon, just wait for the exhaust.
