yahoua_moua
Theres this '95 civic 4 door with a blown engine. I wanted to buy it and swap it out, but I wanted to know if a Dohc Vtec engine A/T will work with it as well, cause I don't want to convert it to a 5spd. This is a DX civic A/T and I am gonna swap it with an Vtec Dohc A/T as well. The engine removal isn't the problem, but I wanted to know if: 1.) The A/T civic shifter cables will work with the new engine? 2.) Will the civic Headers bolt right up? 3.) Any wiring, cuz I have an DX with no Vtec 4.) Any new motor mount that I have to replace? Any help is greatly appreciated, cuz the search function don't tell anything.:drew:
SolLesHonda
1. You can actually purchase automatic DOHC VTEC swaps 2. No. the SOHC header will not fit onto the DOHC. Buy another header. 3. Yes, you can't just drop in a motor and all of a sudden have VTEC. There is some minor wiring needed. 4. You don't need to swap motor mounts, but i would recommend getting the Hasport mount kit for B series motors
