you could use wire to touch against each terminal of the battery and then run it down to the plug of the fan. if it turns on, your fan works, and ur sender is bad, and you will just have to buy that piece and get it replaced. mine was like 25 bucks or something. just have to unscrew it and put a new one in. if it doesnt turn on your fan is shot and need a new one.
