SpyderT Posted March 24, 2004 Share Posted March 24, 2004 I posted this in the civic forum also... I recently swapped a 2001 H22a4 into a 2000 Civic EX. I don't know jack about H22 engines. All the swaps I've done have been first gen B16s, non vtec B18s, and a few B20s all non OBD or OBDI. We got the engine in pretty easily and got all of our custom bull crap hooked up we needed. We went to plug the ECU in and the place we purchased the package from had given us the wrong one. I ordered a 5 sp OBD II SH ecu today and I read something wierd... Does the oem ecu in 97+ preludes need to be programed by the dealer when installed? I've never heard anything like this, but I don't really work on Hondas anymore, so I wouldn't know.
