UNCC_CRX
Questions for all you CRXers out there... I've been looking into swapping my engine for a b16a. I drive a CRX DX, and I undersrtand that I would have to get the intake manifold from an SI in order for it to work with the B series. My problem is this...I drive an Automatic (yes I know...i've heard it all by now :( ) Is it still possible to do the swap w/ the Auto tranny or would I have to get a new tranny? Thanks for you info! CRG7
i believe you can get an auto b16 tranny... but if you're doing a swap, you might as well convert to manual while you're at it... you can get a swap with the linkage and ecu, and you'll just need the pedal assembly and have the wiring done (which you'll have to have wiring done for the dpfi to mpfi conversion as well as the motor swap)...:-/ you can get a complete jdm b16 sirI swap for around 1500. CRXrAcEr2.0
I guess you could do the swap without getting a new tranny, but like CivicRacingGirl17 said, just go for the manual tranny while you have got every thing apart and save yourself some time.
