Drew
Europe: It appears that Honda will not be producing the Accord Type-R anymore when the new range of Accords arrive for 2003. "Honda wants to move the Accord upmarket to compete with the BMW 3-series and Audi A4, and says it won't produce a Type-R version. According to insiders, sportier versions aren't ruled out entirely, but the forthcoming range is unlikely to meet the strict performance requirements it puts on Type-R variants." "Instead buyers will get the option of a more luxurious fast car, along the lines of BMW's M3 or the Audi S4, although not as focussed on perfomance." stridertacticz
i think the type r accord could have reached a full potential, but seein how honda killed the damn thing now. what a shame. it's like taking away the [90-93] integra styling away and re-naming it to rsx...pity.
