Savant Posted February 23, 2004 Share Posted February 23, 2004 In a double-wishbone suspension the wheel is guided by two triangulated lateral control arms (the “wishbones”) and a tie rod. The suspension strut is attached to the lower wishbone and provides the necessary vertical support. Low installed height and great width between the left and right sides characterize this suspension design and make particularly advantageous and sporty suspensions possible. Its ability to transmit loads and excellent road holding makes it ideal for the quattro®. I was laughing when I saw that because I knew it was a cut and paste off a website. Then I read your post and I started laughing my ass off.
