xroot
Hallo, I need to replace the headlights in my accord 2001. How do I go about removing them from there? Do I need to remove the bumper for that? Any pointers/howtos/weblinks are greatly appreciated. Thank you, -xroot
carta79
Yes you will need to remove the bumper. There is one screw in each fenderwell that holds the corner of the bumper. When you pop the hood there should be two plastic plugs on top, along with about six plastic plugs on the bottom. Use a flat head screwdriver to try and pry them off. xroot
Thank you, carta79! I will try this over the weekend. So much for these PnP headlights... It was described in the add that the installation was a matter of 30 min -xroot
dd_biggy
guess this doesn't help ya now, but always do your own research first. bastards always try to tell ya stuff like "this exhaust tip adds 40 hp!", so ya really have to go on your own info and knowledge when shopping around online, esp. on ebay
optional187
it doesn't take that long to take off the front bumper. i had to do it on my civic a few times for various things and it only took a matter of minute. if you know exactly how to do it (ie: you've done it before) then you could probably do it in 30 minutes. but take your time, be patient...don't mess up your bumper. installing those headlights should take no longer than 2-2.5 or 3 hours if you go really slow.
