I took upon myself to customize my automatic 1991 Accord. I replaced the shift knob with an aftermarket knob, i cut the wires of the overdrive button with the idea that i could attach longer wires and run them up to the dash by where the stereo is and connect the wires to a different button i bought. I reconnected the wires to the button but now it wont work... The car wont go into overdrive. i need help please.

There is more than one kind of button. You need to get out your multimeter and find out if the switch you are replacing is a momentary switch or just an on/off switch.
