hondaguy12343
ok so i bought this 98 honda civic ex and when i got it home i opened up the hood and i noticed that it had a b18b1 engine a cold air intake and i got to looking for the ecu and i find that i have a p72 ecu connected obd1 - obd2 harness to this ecu so what im wanting to know is should i just find me an obd1 harness? i have a cel light on but im unsure of how to bring a code up because the obd2 plug has been removed and im unsure of where to plug an obd1 scan tool up when i looked at my ecu it looked like it had been opened up b4 is there anything i should be looking for to see if i have a socketed ecu? anyways if ur wondering why i posted here its because ive found that the engine i have comes out in tegs
BrIaN EG2
remove the jumper harness and get a OBD1 ecu.. and you dont need a scan tool to run the CEL you can also use a paper clip and count the CEL blinks.. one long blink is 10 and a short flash is
