gdannboy
Hi does anyone know what my car's problem is, i put new rotors and break pads and after that my car makes noise when i break like a high pitch sounds and stops when i stop breaking. the thing is that i bought ceramic break pads so it shouldnt be making noise. Ive been driving it for a couple months so its not that the break pads aren't broken in yet. I also think there is a separate noise when i go forward. Does anyone know what this could be? airjordan223
Did you use anti squeal grease on the shims?
gdannboy
Did you use anti squeal grease on the shims? I don't think so, my mechanic put everything in. Is there a way i can add some sort of grease without taking the brake pads off?

Escape-performance
I use the orange anti squeal, it seems to work best if you let is "set" a couple minutes after putting it on the back of the pads. You usually only get squeal with cheap pads, are you sure your mechanic put in ceramics?
