Repsol
I currently have a 12'' memphis power reference with a 200 rms, and a JL 500/1 amp. Would a Kicker Comp CVR with 400 rms hit harder?

CBRF4i
Hard to say what will "hit harder" Your essentially comparing 2 low end subs they are on equal playing grounds. Alot of it will come down to the enclosure, and how well each sub will perform in that particular enclosure. If the question is, should I replace my Memphis PR series with a Kicker CVR series, then MY answer would be no. Even if there is a gain to be had, it more then likely would not be significant enough to bother with hassle or cost of replacing your current setup. IF you want more output, buy another of the same sub and put more power to them.
