hemz86
I was wondering if i really need the heat shield that is on the bottom part of my exhaust pipe. I have determined that is where my rattle is from and don't know as to whether it is a good idea to take them off. It is right as the exhaust comes down from the engine area. Help me out please
joecollins2
You don't really need it. The point of it is exactly that to shield heat. Heat soaking into the car sucks ass. It might not do it that bad on yours however. You can always pull it off. I know plenty of people who have and it doesn't make that big of a difference since your car prolly isn't a build race car producing mad amounts of heat. JDM Jackass2
yeah what part of the exhaust pipe ace? there are a few spots where it is good to leave it there. but take it off if you want, but don't forget to buy spoon spark plugs. that way you can do 2 stupid things in 1 day. thats what i call efficient
hemz86
It is the part that is coming basically right off the headers and around the cat area. Should i leave them on?

speedycivic
it shouldn't melt any wires if you take it off but if you care about your air-conditioning you should probably keep it on. and the stock header looks pretty ugly.
..SSR..
It is the part that is coming basically right off the headers and around the cat area. Should i leave them on? If you're taling about the part where the oil pan is, then leave it on.
